In my previous career, I worked as a Quality Engineer for a semiconductor company and I was always the one to bring treats to the office. I always baked treats for friends and family for all the holidays and enjoyed bringing joy and seeing all the smiles!!

When my career ended.....I thought....what now? Well, the obvious choice was to start a home bakery! So, I swapped focusing my attention on the quality of computer chips to the quality of homemade desserts. I take pride in making my products both look AND taste great! All those years of practice paid off!

I have been in CO since 1999. I live in Longmont, CO (north of Denver) with my husband Bob. Our (adult) kids, Matt and Michele also live in the general area. My family has always been a great support and have helped sample and critique my various creations!
Hi, I'm Susan! I have always loved to bake. I am mostly self-taught but also have to credit all the wonderful resources we have today through YouTube, FB, IG and all the wonderful 'cookiers' who teach classes.
Fun fact!! This photo was the inspiration for my new business name. When making
breakfast one morning, I looked at my spatula on the counter and this is what I saw! I immediately thought of Sweet Smiles Bakery!!

* I also tutor math! There are many math skills used in baking!
* I love Snoopy!!! I've been a fan since I was a kid!
* Favorite number is 4 (I have no idea why)
* I was in a unicycle club when I was a kid!
* Best thing I ever made - my children!

I bake from my home kitchen under the Colorado Cottage Food Law and have my food safety license. (previously Susan's Cake Balls and Cookies)
